TAISI : The Association of International Schools of India

The Association of International Schools in India (TAISI) brings together Principals, Heads of Departments, Coordinators and Guidance Counsellors to engage in dialogue, participate in workshops and work towards cooperation between schools.

We are always looking at ways to increase our knowledge base, share ideas and discuss new approaches to education.

We strive to foster greater international understanding, by promoting values of secularism, tolerance and multi-culturalism.

Some of the major voices in education today have honoured us as speakers. Through regular events such as seminars and conferences we debate and discuss and broaden our outlook.

TAISI also presents opportunities to network and work collectively for the advancement of education in schools in India.

We welcome you into the TAISI family and look forward to your participation in our events.

As an organisation that is constantly evolving, TAISI now has a new identity. The child is our focus and is at the centre of what we do. We are an association that concerns itself with international education; the issues that matter, increasing dialogue among international schools, sharing experiences, and consolidating our ideas and our strengths.

Even if our outlook is global, we remain essentially Indian as this is our host country. This sentiment is depicted in our logo that captures the vibrancy of India (in colour) and diversity (people coming together).

Our new logo consists of three elements. At its core is the circle which represents the round table around which we gather. It is our forum for discussion and thought. Around it are a group of children whose upwardly raised arms symbolise the celebration of life and learning. These children in formation combine to form the petals of a flower, depicted as a traditional Indian ‘Rangoli’. The petals symbolise association of the individual schools for a more cohesive identity.

This logo will now represent the new face of TAISI and will be carried forward through all communication, from our event collateral, to our stationery, our website, and t-shirts and bag.
